Responsibilities

MasteringAnatomyandPhysiology and MasteringMicrobiology are online homework and tutoring systems for college and university students. Pearson Education is seeking an individual with a background in life sciences (anatomy/physiology/microbiology) with significant experience teaching undergraduate to assist in the development of content for our sophisticated system. The Mastering platform administers problems with a rich structure of hints and sub-problems and collects extensive data on how students learn as they work through each problem. Responsibilities include partnering with editorial teams in the development of content plans, prototyping content, working with editorial teams to set standards and guidelines for content, including art, style, and notation, coordinating and tracking all stages of the development schedules, reviewing content for accuracy, pedagogy, consistency, and overall quality, and assisting in selection, training, and support of content writers/vendors.

The Anatomy/Physiology/Microbiology content developer will also analyze student interaction data, and then use this data to revise and improve content, help to define, implement, and document pedagogy standards, create content templates for other content providers to follow, help to define product requirements in support of delivering superlative content.

Qualifications
- Solid knowledge of anatomy and physiology and microbiology (MS/MA or higher preferred).
- Significant experience in teaching at the college undergraduate level, or above.
- Ability to communicate clearly and fluently in good English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to give clear feedback to authors and other members of the authoring team.
- Organization skills and ability to track details.
- Computer literate.
